Jane Austen’s Regency World

Regency World

I’ve done it - I’ve become a proud subscriber of Regency World – a magazine produced by the Jane Austen Centre in Bath. I’ve been wanting to read this magazine for a long time now, and I’ve finally managed to get my act together and make an annual subscription. Now I can stay up-to-date with happenings in the world of Jane Austen.

Can’t wait to get my hands on my first issue!

Do any of you read the magazine and if so, would you recommend it?

  1. Anna, I hope this doesn't deflate your enthusiasm for this magazine. The editor e-mailed me recently and asked me to write an 800 word article for it. It might, I say might, be in the MAY issue. He hasn't seen my article yet. I haven't written it yet, although I've done the reading and made notes.
I feel quite embarrassed admitting to this. Apparently some people have warned him about me so he thought he would ask.

Hope this hasn't put you off.

    All the best,
    Tony

  3. It's a great magazine - this issue has a article on our Jane Austen activities in the Netherlands.

  5. How fun is that, Anna! That picture just reminded me why I wouldn't have fared well in Regency times, besides the lack of modern dentistry and plumbing, don't think I could manage a frou-frou hairdo every single day!
